Fees
You know the price in advance: right at the first consultation you learn what the service will cost, and the agreed price holds. No hidden items, no surprises on the invoice.
Standard services such as property transfers with escrow or contracts are offered for a fixed fee. Otherwise the fee reflects the value of the matter and the time required, and is always agreed in advance.
Sole traders and companies that want a lawyer permanently on hand can arrange a monthly retainer on favourable terms.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the first meeting cost?
Asking whether the office handles your kind of matter costs nothing: send a few sentences and you will get a reply. The initial consultation itself is charged at an hourly rate told to you in advance; if we go on to work together, the cost of the consultation is credited against the price of the service.
Can I communicate in German?
Yes. The entire matter, including contracts and correspondence, can be handled in German or English.
Do I have to come to Znojmo?
No. Most matters are handled by email, phone or video call; signatures can be arranged electronically or at a notary near you.
How does the attorney's escrow work when buying real estate?
The purchase price is deposited in a dedicated escrow account opened solely for your transaction (free of charge, in CZK, €, $ or £) and released to the seller only once ownership has been registered in the land registry. Both parties have certainty. The escrow is recorded in the electronic escrow register of the Czech Bar Association.
Consumers have the right to out-of-court resolution of disputes arising from a contract for legal services; the competent body is the Czech Bar Association (www.cak.cz).
