Mgr. Barbora Surmanová

Attorney-at-law registered with the Czech Bar Association under reg. no. 13930. A graduate of the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno, where she took part in the year-long programme “School of Austrian Law in Brno” (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien); in 2007 she completed a course in American law at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

During study stays in Germany, the United Kingdom and Brazil she deepened her knowledge of English, German and Portuguese. She has practised law since 2006, when she joined the Prague law firm TOMAN, DEVÁTÝ & PARTNEŘI (until 2011), where she was involved in representing major companies and the highest state authorities.

Mgr. Jaroslav Surman

After graduating from a commercial academy in Austria, he was appointed court-certified translator for German by the Regional Court in Brno in 2000. In 2006 he completed his law degree at Masaryk University in Brno, where he also took part in the “School of Austrian Law in Brno” programme run by the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien.

At an international audit firm he specialised in analysing client data with IT tools as part of audit engagements; at PricewaterhouseCoopers he then worked as a tax consultant on automating and documenting tax return processes, coordinating IT projects for the tax department and delivering in-house MS Office training. He has run Surman s.r.o. since 2011.

Today he focuses on AI consulting and governance; he is a certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer (PECB, 2025) and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer (PECB, 2026). He speaks German and English.
