Authentication of documents for Austria and German-speaking countries
Austria, Slovakia, Switzerland: no apostille
For official use in Austria, Slovakia and Switzerland you do not need an apostille (bilateral treaties and, within the EU, Regulation (EU) 2016/1191). It is enough to bind the translation to the original or to a certified copy. From originals we arrange certified copies at a Czech notary and bind them to the translation; you keep the originals. Certification fee: CZK 350 + CZK 37 per certified page. Austrian documents for Czech authorities are bound to the translation in the same way.
Germany and other Hague Convention states: apostille
Czech documents for authorities in Germany, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, the German-speaking Community of Belgium and South Tyrol must bear an apostille (1961 Hague Convention) and then be translated by a certified translator. We obtain the apostille from the competent body (Ministry of Justice, Chamber of Notaries or Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
